With over 50 innovative programs serving 30,000 individuals annually in Westchester County, we are committed to fostering a healthy community through compassionate care. Founded in 1954, Family Services of Westchester is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian social services agency. FSW operates an OVS-funded Elder Abuse and Victim Assistance Program designed to support adults aged 50 and older across Westchester County. The program serves individuals who have experienced (or are at risk of) physical, emotional, sexual, or financial abuse and neglect.
JOB SUMMARY
Family Services of Westchester is seeking a Full-Time Social Worker to join our Office of Victim Services located in Pelham, NY.
RESPONSIBILITES
Provide trauma-informed supportive counseling and crisis intervention to survivors of elder abuse. Coordinate with APS, law enforcement, legal services, medical providers, and other community partners. Provide information regarding victim compensation and assist in completing victim compensation applications. Provide case management services including advocacy, referrals and emotional support in home and community settings. Maintain case documentation and complete required OVS, program, and agency reporting.
