Job Description

Family Development Advocate, Syracuse Eastside Family Resource Center
SCHEDULE
Full-time, weekdays, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 52 weeks per year. May be required to work occasional evenings or weekends for special center or community events.
STARTING PAY RATE
$18.00 per hour
LOCATION
202 South Beech Street, Syracuse
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or equivalent. At least six months of experience in social work or a related field, including experience working with at-risk families or children. Knowledge of resources available in the Syracuse area to assist families in crisis. A current New York State driver license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Must have or commit to provided Family Development Credential training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide home-based services to identified families using the family development approach. Develop case management plans and maintain family service records. Participate with other staff in case conferences, Neighborhood Advisory Council meetings, and in establishing and implementing community development plans and activities with youth and their families. Assist with community outreach and recruitment of volunteers. Monitor and track the schedules of volunteers, community service workers, Jobs Plus workers, or interns. Complete outcome reports as required according to established deadlines. Attend various center and community events as directed.
