Job Description
The YWCA of Northwest Ohio's Mansfield office is seeking a full-time Family & Community Resource/Outreach Parent Specialist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting families by providing child care consultations, connecting parents with quality child care resources, and assisting with foster and adoptive caregiver recruitment and retention. Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone, connecting individuals with YWCA programs, quality child care, community resources, and partner agencies to coordinate services and strengthen family support.
- Provide consultations, training, and guidance to parents and connect families with appropriate community resources.
- Represent the organization through community outreach, presentations, and agency initiatives.
- Maintain accurate program records and data while ensuring confidentiality and supporting agency grant reporting requirements.
- Recruit and support prospective foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers through community outreach, engagement, and collaboration with public and private community agencies. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social work or social services. and direct interaction with community agencies. Knowledge of the foster care system is highly preferred.
- Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online database systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a family-centered environment.
- Experience with inventory management and resource tracking systems preferred.
- Bilingual skills are highly preferred.
