Job Description

Family Support Specialist / Home Visitor Lifesteps, a local non-profit agency, is seeking a full-time Family Support Specialist for the Beaver, PA office . The Family Home Visitor will coordinate enrollment for the CHOIC (Choosing Healthy Outcomes for Infants and Children) program and provide services to mothers referred by Children and Youth Services (CYS) in Beaver County. The full-time role will provide free in-home education services and support for families. The position will review and update a Plan of Safe Care in collaboration with the mother; assess infant s safety and monitor infant developmental stages; and offer guidance, training and referrals to parents in order to achieve positive support outcomes for each high-risk family receiving services. Travel throughout Beaver County is required, using an agency vehicle. The Family Support Specialist works full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor s Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Child Development, Therapy or a related field and two (2) years working in a Human Services profession or as a caseworker Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate information to a diverse audience Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Current driver s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle
Preferred:
