This position provides intensive, strengths-based, in-home services to families. The ideal candidate will understand the cultural diversity of the populations served by the agency, as well as have an understanding of the Strengthening Families Framework, an understanding of assessments, and the curricula used. This position will require discussing, testing, and observing parenting techniques and periodic reviews of needs and progress. In conjunction with the family, develop and execute service plans to address family needs. Attend interdisciplinary meetings and court proceedings as needed. Coach family members on concerns like communication; child-rearing, structure, and positive discipline; financial management; home organization, cleanliness, and management; medical, dental, and mental health needs. Assist parents to improve skills to optimize the home environment by enhancing their support system and increasing their ability to problem-solve and advocate for their family members. In collaboration with the family, provide information to community resources. An ideal applicant will be available to work non-traditional hours with flexible scheduling.
