Job Description

The Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA is seeking a School Age Child Care Coordinator (SACC) to help support the operations of the YMCA Mericle Family Center's Before and After School program.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License and at least one year of driving experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in ECE or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with children.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Administrative or Leadership Experience
  • Flexibility to work between the hours or 7am and 6pm. This position will be scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Ideally, a split shift would work best for this position.
  • This person should be a team player, have an outgoing personality and be able to get along with others.
  • Have the ability to obtain four clearances (Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprints, NSOR Clearance). Out of state clearances are required if this person has lived out of state within the last 5 years.
  • This person should be familiar with DHS licensing, Keystone STARS, CACFP, and Pre K Counts. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide tours of the center for new enrollments
  • Attend and assist facilitation of staff meetings
  • Classroom coverage
  • Training new staff members, and spending time in the classroom
  • Returning phone calls and email inquiries
  • Managing the waiting list
  • Collecting meal counts and attendance on a monthly basis, and ensuring that teachers are completing documentation
