Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Support students and make a meaningful difference as a contracted school-based Social Worker for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This position offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) and the chance to collaborate closely with educators, students, and families. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 28, 2027, you will be an integral part of the student support team.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent required Current state licensure or ability to obtain before start date Previous experience in a school setting, preferably as a School Social Worker Expertise in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling to students individually and in groups Develop interventions and support plans for students facing social or emotional challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success Facilitate communication between school, families, and community agencies Respond to crisis situations and provide guidance for conflict resolution Maintain thorough, timely documentation and confidential records Contribute to IEP and 504 plan development as part of multidisciplinary teams This contract role allows you to make a daily impact while benefiting from the variety that comes with working across school environments.
