A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Job Description

Investigators accrue three weeks of paid vacation per year in addition to paid sick leave. There is a potential for a hybrid remote schedule after completion of probationary period. Investigators receive 11.5 paid holidays per year. Child Support Investigators, under general supervision, perform a wide variety of child support duties. Investigator responsibilities may include one or more of the following specialty areas: Call Center Representative, Intake Investigator, Paternity & Establishment Investigator, Termination Investigator, Modification & Review Investigator, Default Investigator, Location Investigator, Cash Medical Investigator, and Intergovernmental Investigator.
