CFA's Family Resource Centers provide access to a broad continuum of early childhood and family support services designed to foster children's optimal development and education beginning at birth. Our FRC program is seeking a bachelor's level, Community Worker, for a full-time, hybrid role that services clients in Groton and New London.

Services and Family Support:

Home visiting & Parents as Teachers education Family resources & referrals (i.e., childcare programs) Early literacy for children and families Developmental screenings Positive youth development programs and activities Playgroups and communitybased field trips Support for early childhood education centers

Qualifications:

BA/BS or higher in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a related field.

License/certifications:

Acquire National Family Support Network Certification CPR and First Aid Certified within six months of employment Acquire Parents as Teachers parent educator certification

Key Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with their assigned school(s) to maintain positive relationships with school staff and student families and meet the requirements of their Family Resource grants. Partner with community agencies and resources to support the children and families served by the FRC program. Participate in school and community events. Identify, engage, and enroll community children and families in Family Resource Center programming including playgroup, Leap Home Visiting, Sparkler Child Development Assessments, Resource and Referral, etc. Provide Family Resource Supports and programming to CFA's two Childcare programs as needed. Support local childcare and schoolage programs with early literacy activities, school registrations, child assessments, and kindergarten transitions. Participate in monthly Family Resource Center Alliance meetings as available to do so. Input Family Resource child and family data on a monthly basis into the State Department of Education CAYEN data system. Participate in annual professional development opportunities applicable to the position. Work with CFA Marketing/Communications personnel to provide appropriate content for the marketing of Family Resource Center programming and community resources. Use the Parents as Teachers curriculum to implement the parent education component of their FRC child and family programming. Consistently participate in monthly FRC team meetings and individual supervision meetings. Work closely with the FRC leadership team to ensure they meet their FRC grant components. Assist in the planning, revising and implementation of program policies. Assist the FRC leadership team with grant preparation, grant data, and grant reporting. Complete other related duties as assigned.

Salary:

$45,000 annually. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred with significant pay differential offered.
