Full Job Description Immediate Opening:
Hourly full-time position coordinating services for individuals with Developmental Disabilities in Howard County. Duties include working with individuals, families and service providers to assess needs, advocate for choice and self-determination, assist the individual to facilitate their support meetings, development and oversight of Individual Plans, link to additional resources, make referrals on one's behalf, secure funding of needed services and monitor the services provided.
Skills/Knowledge Needed:
Strong desire to listen to the needs of others; clear verbal and written communication skills; competent organizational and problem-solving skills; solid basic math skills and a desire to create accurate and quality work; ability to collect and analyze information; awareness of local resources; desire to meet with people in their homes and other service environments and a Person-Centered mentality with positive advocacy skills Education and experience requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 1 year experience with individuals with DD and/or Social Work preferred. Valid driver's license & proof of insurance. Access to clean, reliable transportation. Competitive pay commensurate with experience. In addition to your resume, please submit a cover letter.
