Job Description
Position Purpose The After-School Care Worker provides a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered environment for students who remain at school after regular dismissal. Responsibilities
- Supervise students from dismissal until they are picked up.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment.
- Provide appropriate activities, games, reading, homework help, and supervised play.
- Enforce school rules with patience, consistency, and a Christ-like attitude.
- Ensure students are released only to authorized parents or guardians.
- Communicate appropriately with parents and report significant concerns or incidents to administration.
- Keep the after-school area clean and organized.
- Follow all South Haven Christian School policies and procedures.
- Never leave students unsupervised. Qualifications
- Must be a born-again Christian with a testimony consistent with the philosophy of South Haven Christian School.
- Must be dependable, responsible, patient, and able to work well with children.
- Must demonstrate good judgment and appropriate classroom management skills.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
