A Family, School, or General Case Manager coordinates the delivery of a range of social and health services to individuals and families. Assess client needs and work with agencies and institutions ensure clients get the help they need. Monitor client and work with other service providers as necessary to address client needs. Provide limited counseling to client and their family.

Job Description

This after school program serves children in preschool through 5th grade. Responsibilities include supervising free play on the playground and in the school building, implementing activities, occasionally monitoring older students who wish to do homework, and working closely with the program director on a daily basis to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for children. The hours for this positions is 1:30 pm-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Requirements:
  • Maintain a high level of attendance, arriving on time, being ready to work, following protocol when absent
  • Ability to effectively manage challenging student behaviors
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication with parents, co-workers and program director
  • Ability to be flexible, take initiative and be open to feedback
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all school-day and after school program staff members
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Knowledge of a variety of recreation and leisure activities and group games
  • Enthusiasm, patience, creativity and a desire to work with children
  • Ability to pass a criminal record and background check.
