Job Description
The Visitation Specialist will work as a subcontractor to support safe, structured, and meaningful visitation between children and their biological parents or family members. This role is essential in promoting child safety, supporting reunification efforts, and maintaining family connections in accordance with court orders and agency policies. This is 1099 Subcontracted position. Essential Duties Supervise and facilitate visitations in our office or in the community Ensure compliance with court orders, case plans, and safety guidelines Monitor interactions to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of children Provide redirection and model appropriate parenting behaviors when needed Document visit observations clearly, objectively, and promptly Communicate concerns and progress to supervisors Manage challenging behaviors, emotional situations, and conflicts using trauma-informed practices Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must be 21 years of age or older Experience working with children and families in foster care, child welfare, or social services preferred Have or be willing to obtain a business license CPR, first aid, and blood-borne pathogens certification Understanding of child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to remain calm, neutral, and supportive in emotionally charged situations Must pass a state background check
