Counseling Care The Counseling Care Center is seeking a Wisconsin-licensed, School-Based Therapist to work with youth and adolescents. The role involves individual, group and family therapy within the school Setting and collaborating with school personnel. Performs comprehensive mental health treatment to patients and families Utilizes DSM-V standards for diagnosing Completes psychosocial evaluations on all identified clients Completes treatment plans and treatment plan reviews, focusing on the improvement of mental health symptoms and emotional/personal functioning Provides competent and comprehensive treatment approaches to mental health diagnosis and emotional struggles Implements preventative strategies to mental and emotion disorders Takes a lead role in managing client's mental healthcare needs through case management and advocacy Provide treatment to diverse populations and ages, including individuals, families and groups Builds referral relationships within the Hospital setting and the treatment community, for referral and care networks Effectively manages crisis patient needs, facilitating care within the multidisciplinary team, in an empathetic and knowledgeable manner Participates in an on-call rotation (1-2 weeks per year) Job Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling and Guidance or related degree from an accredited university Ideally Licensed as LPC, LCSW or LMFT in Wisconsin (Minimal License is LPC-IT or MSW-IT) Ideal candidate will have 3000 hours post-graduate experience Excellent verbal and written skills Must have the ability to work independently with minimal instruction and effectively within a team setting Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) is a plus.
