Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health and mental health services. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and guiding a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, and support staff. The Clinical Director will champion evidence-based practices, foster a collaborative environment, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals with diverse mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and co-occurring disorders across various settings including outpatient clinics, community programs, and hospital environments. Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision and leadership to multidisciplinary teams specializing in mental health counseling, behavioral therapy, addiction counseling, and case management. Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing patient care to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Develop and implement clinical protocols grounded in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-informed care. Manage clinical documentation including medical records, treatment plans, progress notes, and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Coordinate group therapy sessions, family counseling, child & family therapy, and crisis intervention efforts to support patients across the lifespan. Lead quality assurance initiatives including data collection for research purposes, clinical audits, and continuous improvement strategies. Facilitate staff training on medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR/EHR management), ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with external partners such as schools for special education programs or community agencies to enhance client outcomes. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure as required by state regulations. Extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health conditions or developmental disabilities. Proven expertise in behavioral health modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral management techniques, crisis management/intervention skills, and addiction counseling. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading clinical teams within healthcare or community settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management), medical documentation standards, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes. Strong understanding of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with co-occurring disorders such as mental health conditions combined with substance use disorders. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring privacy and security of patient information. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using standardized tools; experience working with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders or children requiring special education services is preferred.
