Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Cherry Point Location:

Havelock, North Carolina |

Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 8.5-hour shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break

Hours:

Scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM | Maximum 40 hours/week

Join the behavioral health team at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point , providing essential mental health services to active-duty service members, veterans, and military families . You'll work alongside psychiatric technicians, nurses, and medical officers in a collaborative clinic environment-helping patients navigate mental health challenges, providing crisis intervention, and supporting the overall resilience and well-being of the military community. What You'll Do As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services within your scope of practice, including: Provide direct behavioral health and clinical social work services to service members and their families. Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments, risk evaluations, and safety planning for patients experiencing emotional or mental health distress. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered clinical care based on individual needs. Collaborate with medical officers, nurses, psychiatric technicians, and other healthcare professionals . Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in government electronic health record systems. Maintain a 90% or greater encounter closure rate within 72 hours . Follow applicable standards and regulations, including The Joint Commission requirements, medical staff bylaws, local installation regulations, and federal ethical conduct standards. Maintain required clinic quality metrics and scheduling standards. Help create a safe, supportive, and professional environment for patients and fellow healthcare team members. What You Bring Required Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Current, active, valid, and unrestricted LCSW license allowing independent clinical practice in any U.S. state or territory. Demonstrated clinical competency within the past 2 years . Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider course. Web-based-only BLS training is not accepted. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to adapt to government electronic health record systems, including MHS GENESIS, AHLTA, or CHCS . Ability to successfully complete required federal background/security processing, including fingerprinting and the SF-86 Questionnaire for National Security Positions. Ability to complete required pre-employment physical and health screening. Required immunization and screening documentation, including TB screening, annual influenza vaccination, and Hepatitis B compliance or declination. Preferred Experience Previous experience working with active-duty military service members, veterans, or military families . Experience in military, federal, hospital, outpatient behavioral health, or integrated healthcare settings.
