Working with children Data collection Medical terminology Full Job Description Header Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling, psychotherapy, and case management services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, and addiction, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. Header Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and clinical interviews to formulate individualized treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing tailored to client needs. Provide specialized child & family counseling, working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on mental health counseling, crisis intervention, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and Alzheimer's or Geriatric care. Manage case documentation accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and medical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Engage in clinical research activities such as data collection and analysis to support program development and quality improvement initiatives. Participate in intake assessments for new clients and provide ongoing patient care through case management strategies. Offer crisis management support during urgent situations involving mental health emergencies or behavioral crises. Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and relevant mental health practices to ensure accurate documentation and compliance. Header Qualifications Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the respective state or region. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or other special needs populations. Experience in home & community care settings as well as hospital environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes; knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to mental health conditions such as PTSD, addiction disorders, Alzheimer's disease, geriatrics, and psychopharmacology. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, crisis intervention, group therapy facilitation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
