Job Description

Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Social Workers provide services to all types and ages of patients, including infants, children, adolescents, young adults and the elderly.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program MSW (Master in Social Work) from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education. (CSWE) Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English Prior experience in Social Work in a health care setting or other relevant social work setting is preferred. License/Certifications LMSW (New York State Licensure in Social Work) Mandated OMH documentation: Mandated reporter attestation and Code of Conduct Screen Certification within 1 month of hire Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Hearing:
perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Standing for long periods of time. Frequent, prolonged standing/walking. Ability to lift five pounds. Ability to work in confined areas. Must be able to respond in an expedient manner for Hospitals Codes (e.g., Code Grey, Code Adam, and Medical Team). Frequent telephone usage.
