Our outpatient mental health clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources to facilitate effective treatment and collaboration among our team of experienced professionals. This unique setting provides a supportive backdrop for engaging with students, faculty, and families to create an ongoing dialogue about mental well-being. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting in-depth clinical assessments of students and developing personalized treatment plans that adhere to established best practices. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to support clients in achieving their mental health goals. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations to ensure high-quality care. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, psychiatrists, and counselors, to provide integrated care tailored to each student's needs. Facilitating regular case consultations and participating in peer review meetings to improve therapeutic practices and outcomes. Offering guidance and psychoeducation to students and their families about mental health issues, available treatments, and community resources. Staying informed about current research and advancements in the mental health field, applying this knowledge to improve clinical practice. Managing a full caseload of clients while ensuring that treatment objectives are met efficiently and ethically, adhering to the standards set by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will focus on a diverse range of students dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will be a vital resource for these students, guiding them through personal and academic challenges while empowering them with the tools they need to succeed both in the classroom and in their personal lives. Qualifications Candidates for this role must possess the following qualifications: A Master's degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited institution. A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a clinical setting, specifically providing psychotherapy services to children and adolescents. Extensive knowledge of solution-based therapy interventions and effective treatment strategies for school-aged populations. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team settings. Proficient problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to address the complexities of students' mental health needs. Preferred Experience Experience working in a school-based setting or with children and adolescents. Familiarity with preventive mental health strategies and crisis intervention techniques. Prior engagement in community outreach or educational programs focusing on mental health awareness. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
