Anchorage, Alaska Salary:
$60,000-$70,000 per year, depending on experience and desired work hours Alpenglow Behavioral Health is seeking an independently licensed Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our outpatient psychiatry and behavioral health practice in Anchorage. This is a full-time W-2 position designed for a clinician who wants to provide high-quality therapy in a collaborative private-practice environment without the administrative burden of running a practice. Our practice is associated with psychiatrists, a physician assistant, and a LPC. We value collaboration while giving clinicians the autonomy to practice within their own areas of expertise. The Position The LCSW will provide approximately 25-30 patient encounters per week within a 40-hour work week. The remaining work time is protected for: Clinical documentation Care coordination Consultation Treatment planning Professional development Other administrative responsibilities We DO NOT expect therapists to fill every available hour with patient appointments. Our goal is to maintain a sustainable workload that allows clinicians to provide thoughtful, high-quality care. Flexible Schedule Your schedule can be structured around your preferences.
Options may include:
Four 8-hour workdays Five 6-7-hour workdays Other mutually agreed-upon schedules No evening or weekend hours are expected. You will have a dedicated private office and all of the basic infrastructure needed to practice, including computer, phone, internet, printer, and other office resources. Patient Population Our referral base includes both children and adults . The therapist will have flexibility to develop a patient population that fits their interests, experience, and clinical strengths. Experience with children and adolescents is preferred but not required.

Autism and neurodevelopmental concerns Behavioral and emotional difficulties Family and relationship concerns Adjustment and life-transition issues Other common outpatient mental health concerns The position may include individual and/or family therapy , depending on the clinician's interests, training, and patient needs. A Different Kind of Therapy Position This is intentionally not a high-volume community mental health position . We believe therapists do their best work when they have enough time to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships with their patients. Our goal is to build a sustainable practice focused on quality of care rather than maximizing patient volume . You will NOT be responsible for: Building your own practice Finding your own patients Billing or collecting payments Insurance credentialing Insurance claims Marketing Managing an office Hiring administrative staff Managing practice technology Handling collections Alpenglow Behavioral Health provides the administrative infrastructure and support staff so you can focus on your patients. Collaborative Clinical Environment You will work alongside psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, a Physician Assistant, and a LPC. Our providers communicate and collaborate when clinically appropriate, allowing patients to receive coordinated care within the same practice. The practice also provides general clinical consultation for independently licensed clinicians. This is an opportunity to work alongside other behavioral health professionals without sacrificing the autonomy and flexibility that make private practice appealing. The practice matches:
100% of the first 1% of your salary that you contribute 50% of the next 5% that you contribute An employee who contributes 6% of their salary would therefore receive an employer contribution of 3.5% of salary . QualificationsRequired Current independent Alaska LCSW license Master's degree in Social Work Ability to provide outpatient psychotherapy independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to ethical, patient-centered clinical care Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health practice Preferred Experience working with children and/or adolescents Experience working with families Experience treating anxiety and depression Experience working with ADHD and/or neurodevelopmental disorders Experience in an outpatient private-practice setting We are open to clinicians with different areas of expertise.
