Work Environment In this remote role, you will work primarily in a school-based setting, collaborating closely with educational staff, families, and community resources. You will quickly adapt to remote working conditions while being an integrated part of the educational team dedicated to supporting student mental health. Key Responsibilities Engage directly with clients, conducting assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-up consultations within both office and virtual environments. Collaborate with educational staff to identify students in need of support and develop integrated care plans tailored to individual circumstances. Facilitate group and family therapy sessions as required, ensuring that treatment aligns with the specific needs of each student. Utilize evidence-based practices to conduct brief screenings and assessments, identifying key issues and referring clients for further evaluation when necessary. Participate in crisis intervention efforts, lending support when urgent behavioral or emotional issues arise. Monitor client progress, maintain timely documentation, and ensure compliance with agency standards and ethical guidelines. Engage in on-call coverage during and after program hours as needed, ensuring that support is available to clients at critical times. Contribute to committees focused on quality improvement and service delivery enhancements within the organization. Patient Population / Client Focus This position primarily serves a diverse student population at local schools, many of whom come from varied cultural backgrounds and face unique challenges. As a vital member of the team, you will address conditions such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders, ensuring that students receive compassionate, individualized care. Your work will empower students and their families, offering them resources and support to foster emotional and social wellness. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required. Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification. Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies, alongside risk assessment and crisis management protocols. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members. Strong organizational and planning abilities, particularly in managing caseloads efficiently. Experience and competency in addressing age-related or specialty issues relevant to the populations served. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably within a school or community health setting. Previous work with under-served populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is beneficial.
