Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health and behavioral assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as ICD-10 coding and DSM criteria to develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide crisis intervention and management for patients experiencing acute psychiatric or emotional distress, ensuring safety and stabilization. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including medical social work components, medication management (where applicable), and community resources. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards. Engage in patient education regarding mental health interventions, medication adherence (if applicable), and coping strategies tailored to individual needs. Participate in clinical research initiatives or data collection efforts aimed at advancing mental health practices or evaluating treatment outcomes. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy. Strong experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics populations including Alzheimer's care. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and experience providing crisis intervention services in hospital or community settings. Familiarity with EMR systems, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management. Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using standardized tools. Skilled in case management, patient assessment, individual/group counseling, and evidence-based practice implementation. Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and individuals with substance use disorders or PTSD care needs. Strong understanding of clinical confidentiality policies, HIPAA compliance, medical documentation standards, and psychiatric patient care protocols. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and documentation accuracy.
