Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Counselor & Behavioral Health Professional dedicated to supporting autistic clients. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and family support, within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, along with expertise in evidence-based therapies such as applied behavior analysis and cognitive behavioral therapy. Experience with crisis management, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance is essential to ensure high-quality patient care and confidentiality. The pay rate range for Clinical Therapy is $30 - $40 per hour (to be determined by educational level and years of experience). The pay rate for Behavioral Support & Family Support Services is $16 per hour. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches such as behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and psychopharmacology when appropriate. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions tailored to clients' needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, grief issues, addiction challenges, and chronic pain management. Utilize therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, behavior management, social work strategies, and special education methods to support clients' mental health and behavioral goals. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols and provide immediate support during emergencies. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; accurately record patient care activities using CPT coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, case managers, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Engage in clinical research activities or data collection projects aimed at improving treatment outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Requirements Bachelor's /Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure or certification as required by state regulations. Proven experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Relias Training (proof of transcripts). •This training can be obtained after hiring if not previously completed•Proficiency in telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions; experience working within outpatient or inpatient clinical settings preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques; excellent crisis management skills. First Aid & CPR Certification. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams; compassionate approach to patient care.
