Overview Join our dynamic team as a Program Supervisor/Peer Support specialist, where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals on their recovery journey. This energetic position combines leadership, peer advocacy, and behavioral health expertise to foster a supportive environment for diverse communities. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee peer-led programs, provide mentorship, and facilitate recovery-oriented services that promote hope, resilience, and wellness. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate peer support programs, ensuring they align with best practices in behavioral health and recovery. Provide mentorship and coaching to peer support specialists, fostering professional growth and skill development. Lead crisis management efforts by implementing crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques when needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address co-occurring disorders, substance use issues, and mental health conditions. Share personal recovery experiences to motivate clients and build trust within culturally diverse communities. Maintain client confidentiality while documenting services using electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately and securely. Advocate for clients' needs through peer support advocacy, harm reduction strategies, and motivational interviewing techniques to promote client engagement and empowerment. Skills Strong knowledge of crisis management, crisis intervention, and behavioral health principles. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and mental health conditions. Proficiency in addiction counseling, social work practices, and harm reduction approaches. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations while demonstrating sensitivity and cultural competence. Excellent client communication skills with an emphasis on motivational interviewing and sharing personal recovery experiences. Skilled in mentoring peers, maintaining confidentiality, and utilizing EHR systems efficiently.
