Licensed Crisis/Mobile Assessor PRN / Tempe, AZ Behavioral Health Connections, Inc. is a provider of patient-focused, comprehensive mental health services. We offer mental health evaluations to children, adolescents, adults and older adults in crisis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week response, including all holidays. Our service model focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of your mental health patients. Based on the results of an assessment, we determine the most appropriate level of care and recommend treatment facilities. The tele-psychiatric assessment and consultation services we offer are designed to connect people with the care provides best equipped to address their mental health issues. Rapid response means that the patient will get to the most appropriate level of care faster and expedite their journey to wellness.

//bhconnections.org Behavioral Health Connections (BHC) in Tempe, AZ is seeking a dynamic and talented Mobile Assessor PRN that provides mental health assessments for contracted emergency rooms and/or hospitals, recommends the appropriate level of treatment based on the Assessor's assessment of risk factors, and triages patients to appropriate services.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Well-developed skills in assessing individuals experiencing crisis situations, this includes the ability to quickly gather and analyze information, assess risk factors, and make informed decisions regarding appropriate interventions. Strong clinical judgement, crisis de-escalation techniques, and knowledge of the evidence-based crisis intervention strategies are essential to this role. Communication and interpersonal skills. Effective communication is crucial, for the crisis assessment team evaluator. They should possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with individuals in crisis, their families and other healthcare professionals. Active listening, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport and trust are essential for building therapeutic relationships and gathering accurate information. Strong Critical thinking skills to make sound and timely decisions in high- pressure situations. Should be able to analyze complex information, prioritize needs, and develop appropriate crisis interventions plans. Independently assesses mental health of patients, on-site or via tele-video, in contracted emergency rooms, hospitals, community clinics, other client-based facilities.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health or related field.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current license in current state as a Licensed Professional Counselor ("LPC" or "LPC-A"), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist ("LMFT"), Licensed Master Social Worker ("LMSW"), Licensed Clinical Social Worker ("LCSW"), or Registered Nurse ("RN"). Current CPR, if required by a customer hospital. ("Customer hospital" means the hospital to which BHC is contracted to provide mobile assessment services.) Must have a valid driver's license
EXPERIENCE
Completion of appropriate internship, including the provision of individual, group or family therapy/counseling. Experience providing individual, group and family therapy/counseling. Mobile assessment experience preferred.
