Department of Health Services as a Peer Specialist or registered/certified counselor. They are passionate about helping men in treatment and assist with the daily operations of the program, including bed checks, attendance checks, room inspections, enforcing rules and regulations. When trained, they monitor the client's self-medication and maintain medication logs as well as conduct drug testing. They also facilitate some educational groups and house meetings and assist counselors when needed. Responsibilities Duties and Task

• Conduct property inspections that include bed checks, head counts, safety and cleanliness checks.
• Review chore schedules and assist clients in being responsible and Completing the Intake process including explaining, completing and signing all required documents and the input of all required electronic information and data.
• Facilitate house meetings and other meetings and educational groups that support the maintenance of a safe and respectful environment for treatment.
• Use strength-based case management and referral skills to assist clients in receiving services from outside agencies.
• Conduct drug testing and maintenance of drug test logs
• Monitor client self-medication and maintain medication logs.
• Share experience strength and hope with clients
• Provide emotional and psychological support for clients Experience and Skills
• They are self-directed, motivated, provide attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• They are able to work in a team atmosphere to resolve problems
• They are experienced with relevant computer software.
• They are able to take direction and use supervision to improve skill and knowledge.
• Must have on file, in the facility, documentation he/she is free of active tuberculosis and has passed a certified first aid and CPR course.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
