SUMMARY SPIRITT

Family Services is seeking a compassionate, culturally responsive, and family-centered Temporary Family and Youth Support Services Specialist to support youth and families receiving behavioral health services, including mental health and substance use disorder treatment. This role provides family engagement, education, care coordination, advocacy, outreach, and resource linkage to help strengthen family resilience and support positive youth and family outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Engage, support, and empower parents, caregivers, youth, and families throughout the behavioral health treatment and recovery process. Provide education, consultation, advocacy, and resource linkage related to mental health, substance use treatment, recovery supports, and community services. Facilitate family support groups, psychoeducational workshops, family-centered activities, and community presentations. Collaborate with treatment teams, schools, probation, child welfare, healthcare providers, and community partners to support coordinated care. Plan and support family-strengthening programs, outreach events, wellness activities, and pro-social opportunities for youth and families. Maintain timely documentation, track program participation and outcomes, and comply with agency, funder, state, and federal requirements. Requirements LPHA, License-Eligible LPHA, registered or certified SUD Counselor, Certified Peer Support Specialist, or equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of two years of experience providing or coordinating family supportive services for youth and/or families. Experience with adolescents, caregivers, behavioral health, substance use treatment, child welfare, probation, education, or community-based services preferred. Knowledge of family systems, recovery-oriented practices, trauma-informed care, youth development, and culturally responsive service delivery. Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, documentation, and computer skills. Must meet background clearance, mandated reporting, driver's license, auto insurance, tuberculosis testing, and documentation requirements.
