A Time To Change Counseling Center, P. A.
Mental Health Counselor
Job Description
Build Your Career Somewhere You Feel Supported! Starting your career as a therapist is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. At A Time To Change Counseling Center, P.A. (ATTCCC) , we believe new clinicians deserve more than a caseload and a supervisor's signature. They deserve mentorship, encouragement, accessible leadership, a strong clinical team, and a place where they can build a career. ATTCCC is a locally owned, therapist led private practice, not an agency, serving North Florida for more than 20 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, or Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern for our Crawfordville office. We view our intern positions as an opportunity to invest in future members of our clinical team. Our hope is to find clinicians who want to grow with ATTCCC through their internship, achieve independent licensure, and continue their careers with us as licensed therapists in our private practice. Start in Private Practice. Build Your Career Here. For many new therapists, private practice is where they ultimately hope to be. At ATTCCC, you don't necessarily have to wait until you're independently licensed to get there. Our interns have the opportunity to begin their careers in a private practice setting rather than an agency environment, with the structure, referrals, supervision, mentorship, administrative support, and established clinical team that are especially valuable during the early years of practice. Our goal is to develop excellent clinicians who become excellent long term members of the ATTCCC team. We want you to establish relationships here, develop your clinical identity here, become independently licensed here, and have the opportunity to continue growing with our practice after licensure. Why Build Your Career at ATTCCC? Focus on becoming a great therapist. We provide an established referral base along with scheduling, billing, credentialing, and administrative support. You can focus on your clients and your clinical development rather than trying to build a practice on your own. Grow with people who are invested in you. We believe good clinicians grow through quality supervision, consultation, mentorship, and access to experienced colleagues. Questions are welcomed here. We want our interns to develop confidence, sound clinical judgment, and their own authentic therapeutic style. As your skills and confidence grow, we want your opportunities within ATTCCC to grow with you. Build broad clinical experience. Our Tallahassee practice serves a diverse outpatient population, giving clinicians opportunities to work with a variety of ages, presenting concerns, and clinical needs. Depending upon interest and experience, this may include children and adolescents, adults, couples, families, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other behavioral health needs. Develop areas of clinical expertise. Our clinicians have opportunities for consultation, professional development, and exposure to approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, psychodynamic approaches, Gottman informed work, and other interventions. Spend less time fighting your documentation. We have invested in technology, including NuIQ , to help streamline clinical documentation so therapists can spend more of their energy doing what they were trained to do: helping people. Work somewhere therapists have a voice. ATTCCC is therapist owned and therapist led. Our leadership understands the clinical work firsthand and values excellent care without losing sight of the people providing it. A Culture That Matters We've grown over the years, but we have worked hard to preserve the warmth of a smaller private practice. We are collaborative rather than competitive, and we genuinely want our clinicians to succeed. ATTCCC also offers Christian Counseling for clients who specifically request it. Experience or interest in integrating Christian principles into therapy is a welcome bonus, but it is not required. Above all, we are looking for clinicians who can provide compassionate, ethical care to the diverse individuals and families we serve. Compensation & Benefits This is a salaried W2 position , providing stability while you work toward independent licensure and build your career with ATTCCC. Starting salary of $50,000 Established referral base and steady caseload Clinical supervision and mentorship Billing, scheduling, credentialing, and administrative support Paid time off
