Position Summary The Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) or Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI) provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy services as part of a structured, physician-directed Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The therapist works collaboratively with psychiatrists, APRNs, nurses, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals to provide evidence-based treatment for adults experiencing acute psychiatric conditions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate psychoeducational and psychotherapy groups in accordance with each patient's individualized treatment plan. Provide individual and family psychotherapy/counseling as clinically indicated. Complete biopsychosocial assessments and participate in treatment planning. Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives. Document all services accurately and timely in accordance with Medicare, Florida, payer, and agency requirements. Complete progress notes that reflect medical necessity, patient participation, interventions provided, treatment response, and progress toward treatment goals. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case conferences. Monitor patient progress and communicate significant clinical changes to the treatment team. Conduct suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis intervention when clinically appropriate and within scope of practice. Assist with discharge planning and coordination of community resources. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Follow agency policies, applicable CMS/Medicare documentation requirements, and quality improvement initiatives. Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development. Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with Florida Board requirements and agency policies. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Active Florida registration in good standing as either a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) or Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI). Must be eligible to provide clinical services within the scope of the applicable Florida registered intern designation and supervision requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Must be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment team. Basic computer proficiency and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Ability to complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in PHP, IOP, inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, crisis stabilization, or similar behavioral health settings. Pay:
