A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our residential mental health team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a mental health residential setting and a strong background in facilitating both individual and group counseling sessions. This role is essential in supporting our clients' treatment goals, progress, and overall recovery journey.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
Provide individual counseling sessions to clients in alignment with their treatment plans. Facilitate therapeutic group sessions, ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment goals and interventions. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and support staff, to ensure integrated client care. Participate in treatment planning meetings, clinical reviews, and staff trainings. Provide support, guidance, and crisis intervention when needed.
Qualifications:
Must hold an active license as a LCSW, LMHC, or LPC , or be actively on track toward clinical licensure. Prior experience in a mental health residential setting required. Demonstrated experience in both individual and group counseling . Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
