This contract opportunity near Marshalltown, IA, invites compassionate professionals with a background in counseling, social work, or psychology to offer critical mental health and behavioral support to students in grades K-8. Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure or eligibility as a Counselor, Social Worker, or School Psychologist Significant experience delivering mental health services and therapy for children or adolescents Proven ability to support students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges Skilled in crisis intervention and the development of behavior support strategies Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams Compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling, therapy, and behavioral interventions for small groups of elementary and middle school students Design and implement individualized plans and strategies to support emotional and behavioral growth Consult with faculty and staff about students progress, needs, and classroom accommodations Conduct ongoing assessments, maintain thorough records, and communicate effectively with parents or guardians Serve as a supportive resource in crisis situations, helping students develop resilience and coping skills Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment where every student can progress socially, emotionally, and academically You have the flexibility to tailor your work-life balance and the chance every day to change lives for the better.
