Flexible Shift:

Covering Hours between 8am

•9pm; Including on call rotation

POSITION SUMMARY

As a LOCA Clinician, you arc responsible for reviewing and pre-screening information collected by paraprofessional staff and applying ASAM 4th Edition criteria to determine the appropriate Level of Care placement for individuals seeking substance use disorder services. The clinician evaluates the available information across applicable ASAM dimensions, identifies dimensional drivers and service needs, applies clinical judgment, and documents the recommended Level of Care. This position is focused on clinical review and placement determination and does not provide ongoing treatment services.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Review prescreening information collected by paraprofessional staff for completeness and clinical relevance Evaluate available information across applicable ASAM 4th Edition dimensions and identify dimensional drivers influencing placement Apply ASAM 4th Edition criteria and clinical judgment to determine the appropriate Level of Care Identify when additional information or clinical clarification is necessary before making a placement determination Document the clinical rationale supporting the recommended ASAM Level of Care Identify clinical needs, risks or barriers that may affect appropriate placement Communicate Level of Care recommendations to designated admissions, clinical and program staff to support appropriate placement and continuity of care Recommend referral to external services when an individual's assessed needs cannot be appropriately addressed within available Revive Ministries Inc. Programs Complete assessment review and placement documentation accurately within established organizational timeframes Maintain compliance with applicable organizational policies, ASAM standards, payer requirements and state and federal regulations related to assessment, documentation, confidentiality and scope of practice All other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND/ EDUCATION

Master's degree from a properly accredited institution with current KY licensure is required Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health and/or substance usBe able to develop treatment plans with specific goals and objectives corresponding to each client's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Must have knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]); computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office programs/ MS Outlook (e-mail), Electronic Health Records, and internet familiarity. Experience working with individuals and/or families who have various mental, behavioral, and substance abuse conditions. Fully licensed LCSW or

LPCC. SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Communicate effectively in oral and written format. Maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Must have ability to work independently and work in a stressful and busy environment. Analyze treatment plans, which include the diagnosis of client behavioral and emotional problems. Utilizing knowledge of a variety of therapeutic models and theories to understand and plan intervention strategies for a variety of patients

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach overhead and lift up to 10 pounds; travel outside of the office and/or attend meetings both during and after normal work hours, both at or away from the work site. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Requires about 6 hours of sitting and no more than 2 hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. No significant stooping is required.

Environmental Conditions:

The employee will work indoors in a residential setting with central heat and air conditioning. The house itself is open and ventilated well with central heat and air conditioning. The person may work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions during times of community activities for clients.

Mental Demands:

There are several daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress to some individuals. The position must deal with the clients, staff, and insurance representatives daily on a variety of issues.

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Minimum of 40 hours per week; must be available on-call in unusual events related to client emergencies Must be able to work well with other staff and clients Minimal travel required
