JOB SUMMARY
Are you a dedicated LPC, PLPC, LCSW, or a Master's-level student looking to complete your practicum or internship in a Mental Health Counseling or Social Work graduate program? Family and Youth is seeking to hire a Counselor who, under the guidance of our Vice President, will provide direct counseling, guidance, case management, and educational services designed to maximize client benefits.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have professional knowledge of counseling or case-work practice, principles, and theory. Must be familiar with a wide array of diagnosis of children and families and the resources needed to treat them. Must have knowledge of complex helping systems, how they affect child and family welfare, and the multiple uses of such systems to deliver services. Ability to directly apply professional diagnostic skills to assigned. Integrity, honesty, cooperativeness and professionalism. Clear appreciation of confidentiality and circumspection.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field OR enrollment in graduate program and approval to begin practicum and internship portion of degree requirement Deemed eligible to practice in the field of counseling by appropriate licensing body and/or university. Two to three years of clinical experience desired, but not required. •Compensation based on Licensure•This position is ideal for recent graduates or Master's level students seeking to fulfill their program's internship requirements, or for those who are provisionally or fully licensed.
