Overview Crescent Addiction and Recovery Center is seeking passionate and motivated graduate-level interns pursuing licensure as an LMSW, PLPC, or LAC to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) . This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work with underserved populations impacted by substance use disorders while receiving high-quality supervision and clinical experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates seeking to fulfill internship hours for academic credit or post-graduate licensure. What You'll Gain Supervised clinical hours toward licensure (LMSW, PLPC, LAC) Direct experience providing individual and group counseling Exposure to evidence-based treatment models (CBT, MI, trauma-informed care) Opportunities to contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and care coordination Training in ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorders, and treatment planning Insight into working with Medicaid and court-mandated populations Responsibilities Co-facilitate group and individual counseling sessions under supervision Participate in client assessments and help draft treatment plans Support clients in achieving recovery goals through evidence-based interventions Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Attend supervision meetings and ongoing training opportunities Collaborate with counselors, peer support specialists, and case managers Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Eligible to begin clinical internship hours (university or licensure-track) Demonstrated interest in substance use disorder treatment and community-based care Excellent communication, empathy, and professionalism Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality Preferred (but not required): Experience working with diverse or underserved populations Knowledge of ASAM criteria or motivational interviewing Why Intern With Us?
