The Arc is seeking a Bilingual Family Support Navigator (English/Spanish) to work directly with the Director of the Family Support Center & Advocacy. This position provides navigation, resources, and support to families in the Merrimack Valley and neighboring communities, with a focus on the Latino community, and provides resources and materials in both English and Spanish. The Family Support Navigator will provide consultation, coordinate training for parents in accessing services and supports, and provide detailed guidance to address specific challenges and key life transitions. Key Responsibilities Provide consultations about resources available to individuals and families (i.e., DDS, MassAbility, Guardianship, Social Security, MassHealth, IEPs, etc.), with a focus on the Latino community. Track and maintain information on consultations and referrals to ensure program compliance. Provide outreach and education by conducting educational webinars, seminars, support groups, and participating in community events for parents, professionals, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Identify new resources and expertise within the community to better support families and individuals. Navigate and support families through crisis management by connecting them with appropriate community resources and providers. Collaborate with the Family Support Center team, agency administration, and programs to develop and provide support for the families we serve. Participate in the quarterly Family Support Center Advisory Council. Participate in occasional evening and weekend events as needed (i.e., webinars, resource fairs, and community events). Translate materials from English to Spanish as needed. Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish. Professional-level knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that acquired through completion of a regular four-year college program. Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience. A relatively high level of analytical ability to find solutions to difficult human, technical, or administrative problems.
