Overview We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Behavioral Health Specialist (LCDAC) to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. Duties Conduct thorough client assessments utilizing DSM-5 criteria and ICD coding standards to inform diagnosis and treatment planning Deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral management techniques Implement crisis intervention strategies to stabilize clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises, including PTSD care and co-occurring disorder management Facilitate intake evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards Engage in case management activities, coordinating care with community resources, hospitals, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of patient care Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for patient records management, data collection, and medical records documentation Apply applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles when working with individuals requiring specialized behavioral interventions from diverse cultural backgrounds Experience Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions in clinical or community settings Strong background in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and behavior management strategies Hands-on experience in crisis management, crisis intervention, and emergency response within healthcare or community environments Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation processes such as DSM-5 assessments, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards Experience working in hospital settings or home & community care environments preferred Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques, mental health counseling practices, and evidence-based treatment approaches for trauma-related conditions such as PTSD Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations This role is ideal for passionate professionals committed to delivering high-quality behavioral health services.
