Job Description

Catholic Charities Maine Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven Stabilization, Engagement & Prevention Coordinator (SEPC) to join our Community Access, Resources and Engagement Services (CARES) Team in Portland. About the
Role:
The SEPC plays a critical role in supporting individuals with behavioral health needs by providing care coordination, assessment, stabilization, prevention, education, and outreach . This position involves home and community-based work across the Greater Portland area, including Cumberland and York Counties. As a SEPC, you will: Collaborate with CARES and BHN teams to assess needs and connect clients with services Provide crisis intervention, stabilization support, and short-term counseling Engage in outreach and re-engagement efforts to ensure ongoing care Educate clients and the community on prevention and recovery resources Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Support clients with basic needs, advocacy, and service navigation This role includes participation in a rotating 24/7 coverage schedule shared with team members.
Starting Salary:
$24.00 - $28.25 per hour. Actual starting salary contingent with experience/education.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or related field Certified (or eligible) as MHRT/C or
MHRT/CSP
Holds (or eligible for) a conditional or full clinical license (LCPC, LCPC-C, LCSW, LMSW-C); CADC, CRMA, and CPI Train-the-Trainer certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) At least 2 years' experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, including at least 1 year in a community-based setting Knowledge and experience in addiction recovery, trauma-informed care, and stabilization strongly preferred Crisis management and stabilization training required (or to be completed within 6 months) Willingness to be trained in Narcan response and deliver training in accordance with protocol (within 6 months)
