Job Summary/Objective:

MST interventions focus on key aspects of the youth's life. MST is a youth-guided and family-driven model. All interventions are designed in full collaboration with family members and key figures in the youth's life•parents, probation officers, school personnel, etc. The aim of MST is to empower parents and assist the youth in achieving their goals. This position offers flexible hours and includes a shared rotation of on call shifts which receive financial compensation.

Essential Duties and Functions:

Provide intensive, home• school• and community-based therapy to youth with serious behavioral and emotional challenges and their families. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths, needs, risk factors, and systemic influences affecting the youth. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans using the MST model. Collaborate with caregivers to build parenting skills, improve family functioning, and promote long-term behavior change. Coordinate care with schools, probation officers, medical providers, child welfare agencies, and other community partners. Deliver crisis intervention services and maintain 24/7 on-call availability as required by the MST program. Utilize cognitive behavioral, behavioral, family systems, and other evidence-based interventions consistent with MST principles. Monitor treatment progress using measurable outcomes and adjust interventions based on ongoing assessment. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and MST quality assurance standards. Participate in weekly clinical supervision, consultation, and MST team meetings to ensure treatment fidelity. Complete safety assessments and develop crisis and safety plans when clinically indicated. Empower caregivers to independently manage future behavioral concerns and sustain treatment gains following discharge. Maintain productivity expectations while managing a flexible schedule that includes evenings. Establish and maintain professional, ethical, and culturally responsive relationships with youth, families, and community stakeholders. Comply with all agency policies, confidentiality requirements (HIPAA), and state licensing regulations.

Educational / Licensing

Requirements Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with Certification in the State of Michigan as a Licensed Master's Level Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is preferred; Limited Licensed Master's Level Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT) or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) requires supervision by a fully licensed professional within their discipline. Basic Qualifications One year of experience in a behavioral health care setting utilizing evidence-based practices with youth. Meets eligibility as a Child Mental Health Professional as defined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services provider qualifications. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Active driver's license. Must support a trauma informed culture of safety to aid customers in their recovery process.
