Job Description

Access/Intake Clinician :
Pines is looking for a full-time access/intake clinician to assess the needs of those requesting behavioral health services and make appropriate referrals to treatment and other community supports because of the assessment. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with people who have either mental health condition (youth or adult), substance use, or individual/developmental disabilities. Excellent engagement, listening, interviewing, and empathic skills are required. Extensive knowledge is needed of community mental health services, and available community resources. Master's degree with a Michigan licensure in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology or bachelor's degree in social work. Experience in substance use assessment and referral required, MCBAP certification (CAADC or CADC) is required development plan within 30 days of start (agency paid). A minimum of two years' experience, knowledge of mental health services and various screening tools, and an understanding and ability to use motivational interviewing and assess a person's current stage of change. Salary range $56,680 - $87,360 per year based on experience and level of education. Excellent fringe benefit.
