In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, manage mental health conditions, and achieve their personal goals through therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations using standardized tools and diagnostic criteria such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic modalities including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy. Provide individual, family, and child/youth counseling sessions utilizing techniques like motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability. Document clinical encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standard Requirements Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LLPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW, LLMSW), or equivalent credential required. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; inpatient or outpatient experience preferred. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation processes (ICD coding), treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards. Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavior management techniques. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, addiction counseling, is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and telehealth therapy delivery methods; experience working within HIPAA-compliant environments essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations while maintaining professional ethical guidelines. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills; experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous.
