up to $60/hr

Position Summary:

As a clinician, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, including psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions, to individuals within a correctional setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals, ensuring care aligns with ethical and legal standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact while working in a supportive and mission-driven environment. Conducts psychological evaluations of inmates/detainees/residents (I/D/R) to diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Develops and implements appropriate treatment plans, including psychotherapy and counseling services. Assesses suicide risk and mental health status to determine the need for higher levels of care or observation. Collaborates with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for medication management and referrals. Supervises and trains mental health staff; provides in-service education and crisis intervention training for correctional and medical personnel. Maintains thorough documentation of services and participates in quality-of-care reviews. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must hold an active, unrestricted LMSW, LCSW or LPC license in the state of Michigan. At least one (1) year of experience in a correctional or forensic setting is preferred. Must successfully complete all required background checks and screening processes. Must be able to obtain and maintain any facility-specific clearances or approvals required for the position.
