WHO WE NEED:
The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, and passionate about supporting young children and their families. This individual balances strong family engagement skills with classroom experience and operational responsibilities to ensure preschool and after-school programs run smoothly and effectively. We are seeking an individual who: Holds at least a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education Has experience partnering with families through enrollment, documentation, attendance, billing, or family support Has experience teaching in an educational classroom setting with preschool-aged children Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills Builds trusting, positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community members Demonstrates strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software Demonstrates flexibility and reliability in meeting a continually changing schedule Works collaboratively as part of a team while also managing responsibilities independently Understands and follows licensing regulations, Great Start Readiness Program requirements and district policies Prefer experience with ChildPlus, GSRP requirements, and ProCare Maintains required professional development and ongoing training in early childhood education, family engagement, and resource development Successfully completes all required background checks
IN THIS ROLE
The Preschool Family & Classroom Support Coordinator serves as a key connection point between children, families, classroom staff, and program operations in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), tuition-based preschool, and our Kids Club (KC) afterschool program. This position supports enrollment, family engagement, program compliance, billing processes, and classroom coverage to ensure high-quality experiences for children and families. Family Engagement & Enrollment Support Guide families through enrollment and registration processes for preschool and Kids Assist families in completing required documentation and maintaining eligibility requirements Provide ongoing resources, support, and communication to families Lead recruitment, enrollment, attendance and retention efforts Program Operations & Administrative Support Maintain student and family records in accordance with program and licensing requirements Execute attendance tracking, documentation and billing processes Support compliance with Great Start Readiness Program, Great Start to Quality, and childcare licensing requirements Utilize ChildPlus, ProCare, and other software systems to maintain accurate records and reporting Classroom & Student Support Provide substitute classroom coverage daily and as needed within preschool programs Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate early childhood practices Help maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming learning environment Build positive relationships with preschool-aged children that support their growth and development Collaboration & Community Partnerships Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, program staff, school personnel and community partners Participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities Assist with program events, family activities and community outreach efforts Support a positive program culture centered on children, families and teamwork Performs additional duties as assigned by program or district administration that align with the family support, classroom support and operational responsibilities of this role.
