Key Responsibilities:

Deliver substance use counseling using holistic, person‑centered, strengths‑based, and harm‑reduction approaches Apply ACT principles and core processes to support recovery‑oriented service delivery Collaborate with individuals to develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans Utilize collaborative documentation to actively engage individuals in their treatment and recovery goals Provide crisis intervention services and coordinate resources to resolve acute situations Maintain contact with individuals during psychiatric or medical hospitalizations and assist with discharge planning Educate individuals on mental illness, substance use disorders, medications, triggers, cravings, and recovery strategies Reinforce medication adherence and communicate concerns regarding side effects or effectiveness to prescribers Support development of illness self‑management skills including coping strategies, wellness planning, and relapse prevention Assist individuals in accessing benefits, housing, employment, education, legal services, and other community resources Coordinate and communicate with service providers, medical professionals, courts, schools, employers, and natural supports Support development of independent living, vocational, educational, and social skills Provide family education, training, and support to strengthen natural support systems Participate in daily team meetings, treatment reviews, and supervision sessions Document services accurately and timely in accordance with State Regulatory, CARF, and agency standards Represent the organization professionally in the community Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Education, Experience, and/or

Credential Qualifications:

Must meet the definition of a mental health professional under 9 CSR 10‑7.140 (2)(QQ) (Missouri) Bachelor's degree in a human services field including social work, psychology, nursing, education, criminal justice, counseling, human development, sociology, behavioral science, or related field Must qualify as a Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board Acceptable QAP credentials include

CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP

‑D, RADC, or RADC‑P MAADC I and

MAADC II

do not qualify as QAP credentials Minimum of one (1) year of training or supervised experience in substance use disorder treatment If less than one year of co‑occurring disorder experience, must actively complete 24 hours of approved co‑occurring training with supervision

Additional Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company‑owned vehicle Must be at least 23 years of age to operate a company‑owned 15‑passenger van Must have reliable transportation to transport clients using a personal vehicle Must complete DMH Community Support 101 Training within 30 days of hire Must complete required behavioral management, billing, medication, First Aid, and CPR trainings within required timeframes Willingness to become licensed in additional states and provide telehealth services Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage complex client needs Physical Requirements Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Ability to perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing and documentation Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional walking or standing Ability to meet the physical demands of a sedentary work environment
