Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Provide evidence-based counseling services, including crisis intervention and behavior management techniques. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers and medical staff, to coordinate care for clients. Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups as needed. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy. Experience A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred. Proven experience in mental health counseling or behavioral health settings is essential. Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and child family counseling is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and coding, particularly ICD-10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Experience working in hospital settings is a plus but not mandatory.
