Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contract Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, across outpatient and telehealth settings. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve their mental health goals. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on issues like grief, trauma, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage acute situations effectively while ensuring client safety and stability. Maintain thorough clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, medical records, and EMR/EHR updates in compliance with clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and coordinate care plans that address complex mental health needs. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to clinical research initiatives. Requirements Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent state license required. Proven experience working with children, youth, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, trauma survivors or geriatrics preferred. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy or dance therapy is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience working with telehealth platforms and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is preferred. Excellent crisis management skills along with the ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or PTSD care effectively. Knowledge of clinical ethical guidelines including HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and treatment planning.
