Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing standardized tools and diagnostic criteria such as ICD-10 codes. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating modalities like psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and behavior management strategies. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions both in-person and via telehealth platforms to ensure accessible care. Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage urgent situations effectively while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems, maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards. Engage in case management activities, coordinating with other healthcare providers to support clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs. Facilitate research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance evidence-based practices within the organization. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMHC-D), or provisionally licensed MHC-LP. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and clinical documentation requirements. Expertise in various therapeutic modalities including psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling. Experience working with outpatient populations and familiarity with this setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary team. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and trauma-focused interventions. Proficiency in telehealth therapy platforms and familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health care.
