Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic mental health team as a Counselor specializing in Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credentials. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges through evidence-based practices and compassionate support. Duties Must Hold LISW or LPCC Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Facilitate intake assessments and coordinate case management activities to support ongoing patient care and treatment adherence. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, clinical documentation standards, and medical terminology requirements within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. Engage in research activities and data collection to inform evidence-based practices and improve service delivery outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, addiction counseling, and special education needs. Provide telehealth therapy sessions utilizing HIPAA-compliant platforms to expand access to mental health services across diverse settings including inpatient, outpatient, hospital, or community-based environments.
