Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral services team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic support to individuals across diverse age groups and backgrounds, fostering positive change and resilience. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies and conflict management skills to ensure client safety and well-being. Collect and document medical records, progress notes, and treatment data in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Coordinate case management activities, including intake procedures, treatment planning, and follow-up care to support ongoing patient progress. Provide specialized counseling for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, gender issues, or substance use challenges such as addiction counseling. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and accurate patient assessment outcomes. Skills Extensive experience working within home & community care settings and familiarity with behavioral health environments. Proficiency in data collection, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed medical records aligned with HIPAA standards. Strong background in addiction counseling, child & family counseling, social work, and mental health therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis. Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, conflict resolution, and behavioral management strategies. Ability to work effectively with children, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and those experiencing trauma or PTSD. Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing psychotherapy tailored to individual needs. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient care discussions, and documentation of medical records. Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
