Established in 1992, Preventative Aftercare is committed to keeping families together by providing quality home based services to at-risk children, youth, adolescents and their families in their homes, schools and communities.Position Overview:
We are seeking a Spanish speaking Truancy Diversion Counselor for the Community Based Program in York County, PA. George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare is committed to assisting youth and families in establishing safety, permanency, stability and well-being. This distinct, community-based position will provide services and trauma informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred throughout the county for Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation. Services will be provided within the community, schools and homes. Evidence based practices and various treatment modalities will be utilized to engage families. Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs and other community support organizations is a priority for this position.Requirements:
Mental Health Worker (Counselor): Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.Mental Health Professional (Counselor): Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
