Position Overview Multilingual Counseling Group is seeking a full-time Bilingual Mental Health Counselor to provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy to clients across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This role is designed for a New York-licensed clinician who values depth-oriented clinical work, ethical practice, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and contributing to a growing multilingual private practice. Responsibilities Provide mental health services within scope of practice Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations (if applicable), and treatment planning Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy Deliver services in English and Mandarin or Spanish Maintain a consistent full-time caseload and schedule Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time Collect and record clinical data as required by the practice Participate in required consultation, supervision, and team meetings Follow all practice policies regarding confidentiality, risk assessment, mandated reporting, telehealth, and ethics Collaborate with administrative and billing staff to support coordinated care Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and linguistically appropriate care Maintain a hybrid schedule including in-person and telehealth sessions Requirements Current New York State LMHC license and registration in good standing Authorization to provide mental health counseling in New York Diagnostic privilege preferred, or active eligibility and progress toward obtaining it if required Professional fluency in Mandarin or Spanish (required) Experience providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, families, or groups Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ethical practice standards Familiarity with risk assessment, mandated reporting, confidentiality, and professional boundaries Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary practice environment Ability to meet hybrid scheduling requirements, including: Two evening availability blocks per week (until 7:45 PM) At least two in-person days per week Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport across diverse populations Commitment to ongoing professional development and culturally responsive care Preferred Qualifications Experience working with immigrant, multilingual, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, trauma-impacted, or underserved communities Experience in private practice, group practice, or outpatient behavioral health settings Training in CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, family systems, or other evidence-based modalities Experience providing couples, family, or group therapy Interest in clinical development, training, or program-building within a growing practice Compensation Estimated full-time annual compensation range: $70,000-$100,000 Compensation is based on clinical experience, caseload, productivity, and approved nonclinical responsibilities. We are transparent about earnings expectations and will review projected income based on your anticipated schedule during the interview process.
